Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at age of 14. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd continued to build on her victory in Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won 3 consecutive bouts. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. After that, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous vote, leaving an ominous mark on her record for amateur. Ladd won her next bout with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score TKO victory in the opening round. She continued her dominance and scored an even stunning victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229.
