Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She graduated with an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is an actor, writer and American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. Her stage debut was in the year 2000 before appearing in mainstream, independent and television series. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received numerous awards and nominations, among them her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The credits on stage include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. In her film career, she is best known for her role in movies such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her role in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's police drama High Incident.
